“I don’t even know where to start with my wonderful experience with Kate.
From originally enquiring in 2019, Kate has been a dream.
We put our vision together and Kate created my dream floral set up – I cannot count the amount of compliments we’ve had about the flowers!
Kate created the most incredible centre pieces, bouquets, outside hanging display, inside hanging display (with candle baubles) and a beautiful 9ft top table piece. Each made with so much care and high attention to detail, they looked breathtaking.
Kates communication is second to non. The amount of messages / voice notes (we love a voice note) we’ve exchanged pinging ideas between one another – Nothing has ever ever been too much bother.
We were originally a 2020 wedding, however with the pandemic (& a baby!) we pushed our date back, the best thing about pushing our date back has definitely been making a beautiful friend in Kate.

“Thank you so much for such an informative and detailed workshop. As it is a change in lifestyle & career it was so important that both Mark & I attended. I was apprehensive at first as he may be the only male there but it was great. He said at first he thought he would feel like a fish out of water, but everyone was so friendly, he didn’t feel out of place at all.
The content of the workshop was so clearly set out it quickly started to focus your mind on how each individual could take their ideas further. The group were so helpful sharing their ideas and thoughts & I think everyone gained help from each other, as well as your expert help & knowledge. You aimed the details at the right level for everyone & did not paint a picture of flower growing with rose tinted glasses, you showed it as it truly is- hard work & a constant learning curve, but so rewarding being able to do something you want to do & have a passion for.
Our thanks & compliments go to the chef ‘Pete’, your lovely husband. We were blown away by such an amazing lunch (restaurant standard is an understatement), & the cake was so yummy! The day just got better & better. It was so informative looking around your growing area & thank you for all your tips and advice. I really didn’t want the day to end. I just wish you were nearer to me, as I would be booking on to all your courses.
To anyone thinking of coming on this course – do not hesitate! It focuses your mind on what you really want, decides if it is practical for you & allows you to not just dream, but begin to set in action your ideas with your eyes wide open, but with the support & inspiration provided by Kate. A true inspiration & kindred spirit. Do not be afraid of going along if you are a man, being surrounded by women isn’t that bad, & my husbands words were; ‘great to just be accepted for who you are and what you bring to the mix’.”

The materials you supplied, in their jewel like, rich, vibrant colours stole the show and the fact that all but 15 heads of hydrangea and 20 rose heads were imported, was just amazing. Well done and thank you again. “Just to say a big thank you for the excellent day yesterday. The course was well worth the 4-5 hour return trip! I got back just before 10pm so not to bad. (Fin loved the brownie!)
I am looking forward to getting started. My main challenge today is to finish moving the first of 2 of my brothers poly tunnels over. He has kindly said he will lend me them for a couple of years. This week I was going to get my sweet peas in. I have never grown them before Christmas before as it is normally to cold to over winter however I am wondering if I would be best advised now to save the seed until October??

“Well what a brilliant day Cath and I had on Saturday, the Showstopper Christmas wreath workshop…Loved the whole informality & friendly setting, coffee & tea constantly on the go. The mulled wine was so welcome and lets not forget those chocolate gooey brownies accompanied by brandy cream it was really scrummy. The whole ambience of the day was perfect. Then the choice of foliage & flowers, they were plentiful, it was very well set up equipment wise & aprons. I enjoyed the fact there was only 3 of us…I prefer a smaller class so that we had room to prep, create and design our wreaths…And Kate…your knowledge, experience and wisdom for your craft was bestowed upon us, guiding us through step by step to eventually creating our showstopper wreath. We thank you so v v much. We had a wonderful experience & would like to do it again next year…Book us in!!  We’ll be back!!”

“Kate….I don’t know where time has flown! Thank you so much for the DIY Wedding course at the end of April! It was amazing! I learnt so much! I have to say there was an incredible choice of seasonal flowers and some stunning seasonal foliage. The dainty purple tipped eucalyptus was my favourite followed by the hellebores! Your growing plot is to die for, and really well organsied, and it was great to have a tour of it to see another season. The food was scrumptious….prepared by your hubby….he is a keeper!!! The best was the victoria sandwich cake!!!! I’d would love to come up again on another course! Big hug for Peaches. Xxx”

“I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the wedding flower course. It was so nice to use such good quality home grown flowers and foliage and I left feeling quite inspired not only by what Vicky had taught us but by your garden too. The lunch was delicious and much appreciated. Could I possibly ask where you get your tulip bulbs from? – I think I may have a go at growing a few more variety’s this coming year.

The bouquet has lasted for ages which has been lovely! Please pass on my thanks to Vicky for all of her hard work too.”
